After reading your report on the brawl involving basketball's Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons and courtside fans [Dec. 6], I realized that one word failed to make it into the story: respect. Would anyone else's reaction have been different from Pacers forward Ron Artest's after getting hit by a full cup of beer? Artest was made a scapegoat by the National Basketball Association.
