...American good humor seems forced here - as if he had wandered into his own funeral and resolved to brazen it out. -By Richard Corliss
That shooting in downtown Rome, carried out by a member of the dreaded Red Brigades, was one of three brazen assassinations of Italian judicial officials last week. Terrorists also gunned down noted Jurist Guido Galli in a corridor of Milan University and killed State Prosecutor Nicola Giacumbi as he walked home with his wife in Salerno. The resurgence of terrorist violence (18 victims this year) has heightened national tensions to a more alarmed level than at any other time since the kidnap-murder of Politician Aldo Moro nearly two years ago. The SALT II accord, already in difficulty in the U.S. Senate, seemed even further...

So it seems a shame to place her in the lugubrious context of a picture like The Divine Nymph. The film is yet another period piece, this time set in Italy during the 1920s. One be gins to wonder if the people who produce Antonelli's movies are under the impression that so lush a lady simply cannot be accepted in a contemporary context. Or it may be that...
