This summer, I interned at a magazine in New York. These huddled masses waiting for the shuttle are a new and unsightly phenomenon. It used to be, back in the old days of last year, that you could saunter up the stairs from breakfast at 9:52 and still secure a place on the 9:55 shuttle, getting to Mass. Ave. by 10 and to class by 10:05. No more. It's a jungle out there...
