Yesterday, I saw B and his coworkers across from my office, at the entrance to a complex of red brick housing projects, joking after a long day of work. ...sweet flavored ice, a Middle Eastern cart full of fresh mangoes, a Dominican cafe cooking spicy sandwiches, and an old Jewish deli hawking hunks of pastrami (all cheap, for the visitor).
