From the present state of completion, the Boston Arena is expected to be ready for use by April 9. Three of the brick walls have been completed and all the girders are in place. It still remains to install the machinery and lay about twelve miles of steel pipe. Seats to accommodate over 5000 spectators are to be arranged in the arena pit formation, which will afford an excellent opportunity for the audience to see all parts of the ice surface...

It is now thought that the skating rink will be flooded in time for the intercollegiate game between Dartmouth and Columbia on January 20. Five of the steel roof trusses have been swung into place and the brick walls on the south and east sides have been completed. The foundations for the ice plant have been laid and the columns of the lobby set up. Work on the lobby and the dressing rooms, however, will to be rushed until the rink and the enclosure is more nearly finished...
