...mile trial race was held yesterday afternoon on the Charles River track to choose two of the men to complete the bicycle team of four who will compete in the U. of P. dual games next Saturday. C. J. Harbeck 1900 and W. R. Brinckerhoff, 3S., who are already at the training table, did the pacing. H. P. White '99 was first in 2.35 and J. F. Wood '98 finished a close second. These two men were taken to the table last night. A trial for the Yale games will be held next Monday...

There are now twenty men with the squad, the most promising being Hewitt, Hunt, White, Harbeck and Brinckerhoff. Only two men are at training table with the Mott Haven squad, but two more will be taken this week or next and others will follow from time to time, according as they show improvement. The daily practice consists principally of distance riding and sprinting, each man doing what is most beneficial to his especial needs. The trial races for the Pennsylvania dual games will be held in a few days to chose the four men to compete in the bicycle events...
