Cartter makes only one sweeping conclusion: based on the quality of its graduate faculty, he rates the University of California at Berkeley as "the best balanced distinguished university in the country." ...Pardee and Lynch, both sidelined with ankle injuries, they are pointing for next month's AAU meet. Pardee jumped 6-8 on a sprained ankle last week, and won the broad jump and triple jump as well.
