...annual tournament of the Intercollegiate Lawn Tennis association was begun yesterday afternoon on the grounds of the New Haven Lawn club. The most interesting play was between Tallant of Harvard and Hovey of Brown. Hovey took the first set easily. Tallant braced in the second set and by good steady playing, the score alternated to 6-all, Hovey winning the match. Kingsley of Harvard and Wright of Trinity also played an interesting match, Kingsley winning. The scores are as follows...
