While making Exodus in Israel in 1960, Movie Producer Otto Preminger found himself so in love with his costume coordinator, ex-Model Patricia Hope Bryce, that he wanted to marry her there and then. There was a problem, though: marriages between Jews and non-Jews are impossible in Israel, and Hope's Jewishness was not exactly easy to establish.
