...Three years ago, Hill, who did a spell at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, made the nervy low-budget martial-arts parody The Foot Fist Way; it managed a limited release in 2008 and grossed a meager $234,286. But the only people who really have to see it are producers looking for directors, and Foot Fist did get noticed. This was thanks in part to the movie's rising star (and co-writer and UNCSA classmate) Danny McBride, who enlivened last year's Drillbit Taylor, Tropic Thunder and the Rogen-starring Pineapple Express, directed...
...test track really did not cost very much compared to Chrysler's total marketing budget which stretched into the tens of millions of dollars each year. But, it looks bad to have the firm's CEO hot dogging in a 4x4 on artificial sand and boulders when he has just taken billions of dollars from the federal government. Payroll-tax receipts generally hold up much better in recessions than do income taxes, but job losses have been so severe that the CBO expects them to decline...
...billed as Vietnam's up-and-coming high-end resort town, but for now, it is more accurately described as a beach town for backpackers. Hostels are abundant here, and there are a couple of nice hotels where you can get rooms for $5 to $400, depending on your budget. We got the last room, a private bungalow, at the one real resort in town, the Sokha Beach Resort (Street 2 Thnou, Sihanoukville; +855-34-935-999; reservations@sokhahotels.com), which was nice enough but not worth the $200-plus per night...
