...cousin, once a thin, cerebral chemical engineering student at the University of Maine, left school five years ago when he decided to teach himself how to build houses. He has learned well and has also bought farmland and taught himself how to farm. Now he looks as strong and healthy as a bear. Two players alternate putting reversible plastic disks-white side up for one player, black side up for his opponent-on a board with 64 squares. As the game progresses, each player tries to build up horizontal, vertical or diagonal rows of disks in his designated color-at the same time trying to capture the opponent's rows.
