Japan. Unlike its Asian neighbors, which are still in the launch phase of industrial development, Japan has already reached cruising altitude. Said Bunroku Yoshino, director of the Institute for International Economic Studies in Tokyo: "Japan is very comfortable, like the U.S. was in the 1950s under President Eisenhower."
