Brown finally attempted rushing, but lost the ball for offside play. Failing to gain around Cuddy, Sawin punted on the third down, the ball going outside on Brown's twenty-yard line. Bates returned a low, bounding ball, which Sawin cleverly handled. Daly then changed his tactics, and, after ten plays, alternating centre plunges and mass plays on tackle, Kendall was sent across for a touchdown. Sawin kicked an easy goal...
...carried it across the line. The touchdown was not allowed, however, because of holding in the line, and the ball was brought back and given to Brown. A successful trick on Campbell ran the ball back to the centre of the field, where Chesbro was disqualified for unfair play. Burnett then secured the ball on a fumble, and it was steadily advanced by line-bucking. Ellis made fifteen yards and on the next rush scored the second touchdown. It will require strong team play to break up Harvard's defense, and the offensive work should be effective as a result of the great attention paid to it during the past week.
