...secret football practice yesterday afternoon was again very light, there being no scrimmage. The entire University squad was out, with the exception of Kersburg, who was given a day's rest on account of a cold. In the preliminary work Coach Reid and Burr punted to the backs for about 15 minutes in order to give them confidence while playing in the backfield, and practice in blocking off tacklers.
