Krause downed the talented Cy Miller in the butterfly in 2:07.0, and in one of the night's closest races, Horvitz touched out a fast-finishing Steve Thomas of Brown in the 100-free. His time was 52.0.
Brown's ?e?lley relay team is reasonably good, and Cy Miller is a talented competitor in the butterfly, Steve Thomas and Pete Czekanski can also be counted on for a few points every meet, but they will have to scramble to stay with even Harvard's backup men.

Any struggle was in vain, however, as Munk romped to a butterfly triumph, and Cahalan and Gerhart followed with a sweep in the 100-free. Gerhart had again allowed a Cadet out in front of him but rallied for his second behind Cahalan, whose time was a quick 49.0.
Harvard's John Munk captured the butterfly last year, and it appears likely that he will repeat as the winner. Sophomore Bruce Getz will try to gain backup points which Harvard will need if it is to upset the Cadets.
