Army fumbled the kick-off to open the second half and guard Joe Shaw recovered on the Cadet 26. Ossman, Tulenko, Jerry Blitz, and Culver took turns in moving the ball to the one, where Burke swept right end for the score. Burke fumbled in the end zone, where guard Art Pappas fell on it, but apparently Burke had possession of the ball long enough. Montieth then stepped in to kick the very vital extra point...
