Christianity should not become too closely enmeshed in narrow political issues for theological reasonsthe idea of rendering to Caesar what is hisbut for practical reasons as well. Although reading the Bible seems to be pass, in this case it seems to me that rendering unto Caesar and instead taking up the cross is the best route.
