Largest exhibit of the main floor was the Georgian garden of Florist Scheepers. Here were pink blossoming peach trees, dogwood, lilac and tulips, a brick-lined lily pool, and on the iron trellised porch of a white brick Georgian house with peacock blue blinds, Macaw Toto in his cage. A brilliant example of the art of landscape architecture was not Mr. Scheepers' only contribution to the show. From his greenhouses came two new flowers never before exhibited in the U. ...have been receiving batting and fielding practice daily in the Briggs Cage with each infield getting a separate workout. Outfielders have been warming up on grounders, thereby getting valuable fielding experience. Coach Mitchell hopes to have the squad practicing on the University diamond in Soldiers Field within ten days. Work will begin in earnest next week when the team starts to play six-inning practice contests in the cage...

Rugby opened yesterday for the Freshmen when about 15 men turned out at the cage for their first practice. At first instruction was given in the lateral pass which is the basis of rugby, and later on a couple of scrums took place. At the end a game was held between the Freshmen and some upperclassmen who came out. M. E. Bothner of Cape Town, South Africa, who was probably the best Freshman player in view of his previous experience, dislocated his knee...

April 10 has been definitely set as the date for the Harvard-Yale rugby game in the Stadium. The team will have a schedule of about ten games in all. Practice will start this week in the old cage on every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning today, for the Freshmen, while Mondays and Wednesdays will be reserved for the other teams. On Fridays combined practice will take place. It is expected that rugby will be accepted as fulfilling the Freshman compulsory exercise requirement...
