Breckenfeld came by his expertise in environmental problems through his long association with two former Time Inc. magazines, Architectural Forum and House & Home. Born in San Francisco, he was graduated from the University of California (Berkeley) in 1941 and, after four years in the Army, spent five years on the San Francisco Examiner before coming to Architectural Forum in 1951. In 1954, he went to work full-time for House & Home and rose to become managing editor before its sale in 1964. Next step was TIME, where he specializes in economic affairs. One key to the killing, Diamond insisted, must be found in Sirhan's arcane experiments with the mirror. It was during...

Because of federal limitations on logging operations and poor forest management techniques, the Government's holdings yield only a quarter as much timber per acre as private timberland. The Agriculture Department has long complained that Congress allows it too little money to manage better, even though the sale of timber to private lumber producers nets the Treasury substantial revenue. A lack of access roads causes as much sawtimber to be lost to storms and insect infestation...

Ronald Janis moans about how Collins will upset the applicant and bring down repression on our heads. Surprise, surprise! In California, college radicals have their phones tapped and play dangerous games with plainclothes cops on campus. At Harvard we had Paine Hall and bursars cards. The CRIMSON editorializes about the sacrosanctity of Harvard education, as Soc Rel 149 is being attacked prelude to phasing out, despite its huge enrollment. So Collins gets two years on a phony dope rap. Two years...
