...Doughty Street can avoid the long arm of regulators, which means "we're completely up-front about our views," says Dale, 44, a Conservative blogger. His three co-directors are also Tories. But the station's weeknight chat shows are just as likely to bite chunks out of David Cameron's new-look Tories as to draw blood from Tony Blair's Labour. Says Dale: "I never want to be a lackey who trots out the party line...

...certain point, as I sat in a grand room at the New York Public Library and heard Titanic director James Cameron explain why the bone box in front of him might have held Jesus' remains, I began thinking fondly of Rev. Raymond Brown, one of the 20th century's great historical-Jesus experts. Reading him was no joyride. His footnotes seemed to have footnotes. But that was the point. But while critics picked apart the theory's science, it was clear which half of the alliance really irritated the faithful. "Over the years, Hollywood has attacked and mocked Christianity," said National Clergy Council president the Rev. Rob Schenck in a statement. Now, a "Hollywood filmmaker is denying the divinity...

This symbiosis will continue long after the documentary airs, the blog wars die out and the godless TV networks air their Easter specials, which is probably just as well for everyone, including James Cameron. If he really managed to destroy Christianity, his most enraged enemies wouldn't be saying Mass at the Vatican. They'd be doing lunch...
