S., The Federal Council of Churches asked its constituents to devote attention to Pastor Niemöller's anniversary. In the Union Church of Bay Ridge (Brooklyn), Presbyterian Rev. John Paul Jones acceded. As he mounted his pulpit, he was seized and dragged away by two parishioners in brown shirts. Then a painted prison set labeled "Sachsenhausen" was stood before the pulpit.
