...better or worse, the Kroks stand apart from their colleagues at Harvard. They are the oldest of the small, closed-harmony singing groups on campus, known (increasingly derisively) as the a capella groups. The Kroks' polish and tour itinerary are both unmatched, and their repertoire of songs from the 1920s through the 1950s has the kind of universal appeal that the contemporary pop tunes of other groups can't quite muster.
