...only part that really sticks out is the a capella breakdown in “We Fenced Other Gardens With the Bones of Our Own,” which is the best song on the album until it gets turned into a go-nowhere instrumental, at which point the arrow that drove the first two thirds forward gets lost in a stuffy kind of sandbox and everything becomes horrible...

...synth, unexpected drum machine beats, interweaving vocal lines and stupid lyrics they probably regard as esoteric make it seem they might be trying too hard to capture this sound. While we wait for Harvard’s brimming endowment to slowly trickle down, the very least the college owes us is a cheaper a capella concert. I’m tired of paying seven dollars per ticket while the Fallen Angels put on a show down the hall for free.
