Rule II. Two balls, two masks, and a chest protector will be provided by the University management for each game. One ball may be obtained by each captain at the office of the Athletic Association in the Union before noon on the morning of the game. Coach Wray has been re-engaged on a five years' contract to coach "whatever crew the captain of the University crew shall at any time designate,"--the condition of his original engagement. Though the saving clause is thus retained the real meaning is obvious: Coach Wray's regime has been a success and is to be prolonged. Members of the University who have watched his methods know that he has established a system and inspired a confidence beyond anything the old plan of graduate coaching with perennial changes and reiterated mistakes could hope for.
