Faced with stiff competition from eleven colleges, the Crimson skiing aces will show their speed and ability at the annual Dartmouth Winter Carnival this weekend.
The Dartmouth Carnival is the biggest College Ski event in the East. A team from the State of Washington is expected, McGill is sending some men, and the Cantabrigians will find the usual stiff competition from Dartmouth, New Hampshire, who is the defending champion, Williams, and many other colleges.
Crimson skiers will invade Williamstown this weekend in the first real tryout of the season against such teams as Dartmouth and New Hampshire in the annual Williams Carnival, which ranks second in importance to the Dartmouth Carnival.
The Crimson skiers are in fair shape, most of them having skied during the vacation and competed in the University Championship race a few weeks ago. Carter and Rogers went to the Conway Carnival last Sunday and are probably in better shape than the others.
Sunday B and M trains will go to Lincoln, the Wilton Carnival in New Hampshire, and the Airo Ski jump.
