Kernan made an easy infield hit, which was thrown wild, scoring Daly, and advancing Kernan to third. Carr then received a base on balls, when a well-executed double steal brought Kernan home, and advanced Carr to second. An error by Watson allowed Carr to reach the plate, leaving the score 6 to 0.
