When his insurance company refused to pay his claim, Shiroo sued the Nagasaki government and eventually the mayor, reportedly claiming that Itoh had fabricated the original accident report. The case was thrown out of court, but Shiroo's anger against Itoh may not have cooled - TV Asahi reported that it had recently received a letter from the suspect claiming that the mayor was involved in corrupt practices...
