...game was nine innings long, Harvard may have pulled out an improbable win. However, with only two more innings remaining in the game, the Crimson did not have enough. Carter homered in the top of the seventh, cutting the lead to two. The homer forced Dartmouth starter Lawrence Fay out of the game after allowing nine runs and thirteen hits in six innings.
