Died. Dr. James M. Doran, 57, onetime U.S. Commissioner of Prohibition (1927-30); in Washington. Thin, bespectacled, with puckish ears, he faintly resembled the cartoon personifications of Prohibition. His wife, Roxana, a W.C.T.U. member, attracted attention in 1930 with a recipe book of "Prohibition Punches," whose contributors numbered the wives of many high Washingtonians.
