Miss Vokes rendered her part exceedingly well, while her singing and graceful dancing brought forth frequent applause. The last feature was "A Double Lesson," a short comedy which gave Miss Vokes abundant opportunity for displaying her remarkable gracefulness in national dances...
...Acres." The revival of this comedy was of especial interest, as it has not been presented in Boston for twenty years. The production is characterized by the same thoroughness in every detail which has made these revivals so enjoyable. The piece is given a beautiful stage setting, and the cast includes all the Museum favorites. Miss Sheridan and Mr. Wilson were especially pleasing, while Miss Clarke, Miss O'Leary and Mr. Mason all contributed much to the enjoyment of the presentation. ...Hollis Street theatre last evening the ever popular and tuneful "Erminie" was presented by the Aron son Comic Opera company. With such popular favorites as Pauline Hall, Georgie Dennin, James T. Powers, Edwin Stevens, and J. E. Brand in the cast the opera was certain to be satisfactorily presented, and the large and fence had evidently assembled with the expectation of being pleased. The work of the principals and the chorus was very favorably received, and encores were frequent. Pautine Hall was a pleasing Erminie, and Georgie Dennin repeated the success she achieved in the earlier part of the company...
