Clearly there’s a social facet of facebook.com that’s still taboo, an underlying tackiness that should discourage use of this site for a serious flirtation. Forth & Towne also hopes to target four different types of boomer women by offering four brands under one roof: Vocabulary, Prize, Allegory and Gap Edition. Vocabulary is more comfy and expressive; Prize is sexier; Allegory, classic and tailored; and Gap Edition, casual. Needless to say, most of these paintings actively involve the viewer, making them more accessible and appealing for the most casual and uneducated of museum-goers. But not all of the works really fit the theme of layering, and many aren’t even visually enthralling...
