...attach the adjective "illegal." The term "criminals" is presented as something only "angry residents" call these people, who have broken U.S. immigration and identity-fraud laws. While no American should take joy in the pain resulting from crackdowns on illegal immigration, the illegals accepted the risks of being caught when they entered the country. Before the law can be reviewed or changed, it needs to be enforced. I can respect people who suggest changes to our immigration laws, even if I disagree with their proposals. I have trouble respecting anyone who feels that existing laws should be ignored. Scott Slattery...
...Your story suggests that we should feel sorry for illegal immigrants who cannot work because they are awaiting trial. It is difficult to feel much sorrow for people who were caught knowingly breaking the law and are now whining about the consequences. He launched a stunning free kick, a stop-this-if you-can pile driver from outside the box that beat Austrian keeper Jürgen Macho to his left. In the Fan Zone, clusters of German fans celebrated, and those celebrants in front of me were greeted with a shower...
...Jasmine Ledezma, 13, eating is often about speed. "There are days when I'm superhealthy," says the resident of Austin, Texas, "but then there are days when I'm in such a rush." When we caught up with her, Ledezma had her usual Lucky Charms for breakfast but barely touched the chicken-nugget lunch on her cafeteria tray before hustling off to recess. She and her family later ate a quick dinner at Burger King, which Ledezma says was a special treat...
