...last number of the Lampoon contains a good deal that is timely and humorous. Though the drawings are not striking, those by W.N. Taylor '03 and the center page by D.C. Bartholomew '06, are exceedingly effective through their clever simplicity. Most of the other drawings are not without merit, the only really insipid effort being carefully located on the cover...
...Murphy, short-stop, Greenough, right field, and Fischel, first base have been dropped from the University squad and have joined the second nine. Adams, left field and Bolton, third base both of last year's Freshman team, are the most likely candidates for their respective positions. Parker, catcher, Lovering center field, and Marshall, second base were members of last year's team, so that, with the promising new material, the chances for a strong team are fairly good...
...during the three years that he remained made a lasting reputation as one of the greatest football players that ever attended the University. At Exeter, where he prepared, he played for four years on teams that ranked second only to those of the largest colleges. In addition to his activity in football he secured a place on the University crew. Before...

Bowditch, Jr., '03, right end, D. W. Knowlton '03, right tackle, and W. S. Sugden '03, center, will graduate in June, but expect to return to enter the Law School. The only position left vacant in the line will be that of C. A. Barnard 2L. at left guard. Barnard, who will continue his work in the Law School, has already played three years as a regular...
...February issue of the Lampoon seems in places to be below the high standard set by several issues, but on the whole is rather amusing. The center piece and many of the smaller drawings are decidedly poor; some however, are very amusing, notably the picture on the cover. The jokes seem to be about up to the usual standard and the longer efforts are praiseworthy. The verses are uniformly good and the longer skits, especially those on the faculty meeting and the CRIMSON criticisms are good examples of undergraduate...
