Working and voting for left-of-center candidates within the Democratic Party is certainly not sufficient to bring about change. But it is necessary. For McGovern, McCarthy and Lindsay have all shown a willingness to challenge the centrist thesis at the polls, which is precisely where it has to be disproven.
