Several of Princeton's strong players have lately been disabled, and the college is feeling much discouraged over the prospect of the championship games. Mowry, one of their new half-backs, who promised to do so well, has been ill for some time, and will not be able to play again this season. Hodge, on the end of the rush line, was bruised in the game with Wesleyan on Tuesday, and is incapacitated. On Friday,Ivine had an old hurt renewed in a practice gam and probably will not come out again...
...Harvard Fleven played its first championship game of the season with the Wesleyan team, Saturday, on Jarvie field. In spite of the rain the seats were well filled with spectators, among whom were several ladies. The bad condition of the field made it impossible for Harvard to run up a big score; but when it is considered that the game was only two half hours long, 50-2 may be considered a creditable showing. Harvard played a sharp game the first half and scored 32 points. In the second half, however, the team weakened considerably, scoring only 18 points...

The team has been very unfortunate in losing valuable men at one time and another during the fall; but in spite of this the earnest work of the others has turned out a team that is sure to do Harvard credit. We want the championship this fall. The captain and the team are doing their full share towards winning it. Let the men in college now do their part. ...championship game between Princeton and Pennsylvania was forfeited by Pennsylvania. It was raining hard and Pennsylvania wished to postpone the game. After a delay of an hour play was begun, and Ames immediately made a touchdown for Princeton. Hulme of Pennsylvania then complained that he had been injured and wished a substitute to take his place. Princeton objected and Pennsylvania withdrew from the field, thus forfeiting the game. Referee. Luther Price, sustained Princeton. and awarded the game...
