...Lovers' Lane in the outskirts of Norwalk, Conn., lived Theodore Humbert, a chorus man, and his friend Edward Charles Chapman, an interior decorator. When Chapman thought his heart disease would be fatal he deeded to Humbert a $95,000 estate. He recovered, planned to take Humbert to England to claim the property.
