Tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock the Harvard Chess Club will meet in the Trophy Room of the Union. This will mark the first resumption of the club's activities since the war. Matches will be scheduled this year with the Metropolitan Chess Club, which includes teams from Tufts, Boston City and other near by chess clubs. There will also be a ten-board match with Yale, which will take place the evening before the Yale football game...

Preliminaries for the University chess team will be held on January 21. If players of sufficient quality report a representative will be picked for the Intercollegiate Tournament to be held in New York, in February. There will also be a regular schedule of matches. As few of last year's team are back, the opportunity for new men is very good...
