...University of Chicago has offered four prizes for essays on economic subjects, to be awarded in 1907. A first prize of $1000, and a second prize of $500 are offered for the best essay presented by Class A, composed of all persons who have received the bachelor's degree from an American college since 1895. A first prize of $300, and a second prize of $150 are offered for the best essays presented by Class B, composed of persons who, at the time the papers are submitted, are undergraduates of any American college.
