...classical department has decided to produce Aischylos' Choephoroi in Sanders Theatre sometime next May. This will be the fourth play given under the direction of the department, the others being Oedipus Tyrannus in 1881, Phormio in 1894, and some scenes from The Birds in 1901. Choephoroi was first played in 458 B.C., and forms the middle member of the trilogy, in which Aischylos treats of the legend of the House of Atreus.
