...preliminary trials for the Harvard-Yale debate were held on Friday in Osborne Hall. The speaking was not up to the usual standard and showed a great lack of preparation. ...Freshman eleven has on the whole shown up exceedingly well this fall. The men who turned out early in the year were nearly all promising candidates; they have worked hard and the team now chosen is well up to the Freshman standard. The line is heavy and holds well, though several of the men have a tendency to offside play. The backs are all good runners and follow their interference in good shape.
