Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health have concluded that children born with lower IQs possess higher risk of psychiatric disorders, according to a decades-long study of 1000 people in New Zealand. Children with lower IQ levels were more vulnerable to having chronic psychiatric disorders after the age of 32, researchers said. The study was conducted on a cohort of children born between 1972 and 1973 in Dunedin, New Zealand and first tested at age three.
