...spoke Saturday morning at the preliminary trials to select speakers for the Boylston Prizes for elocution, 12 men were retained. ...Dyke is known throughout the country as a liberal thinker. He is at present professor of English literature at Princeton, where he graduated in 1873. He was pastor of the Brick Congregational Church of New York for a number of years and delivered the memorial ode at the 150th anniversary of Princeton.
