Bishop Brent was formerly rector of St. Stephen's Church, Boston. In 1901 he was consecrated, and in the same year left for the Philippines where his work among the native has been many-sided and vigorous. In addition to furthering church and school work in the more uncivilized regions, he is engaged in the establishment of a cathedral and a hospital at Manila, where he has his headquarters.
