...Seconds (First National) is a turgid cinemelodrama of the moral bankrupting and liquidation of an honorable sucker (Edward G. Robinson). It opens with Robinson assuming the attitude in an electric chair and it is based on the unscientific theory that a man's life unreels itself, complete with dialog, in the two seconds between the first twitch of the electricity and unconsciousness.
