...have attended any of the classical music events on campus, there’s a good chance you’ve heard the music of Elizabeth C. Lim ’08. Lim has composed music for groups such as the Brattle Street Chamber Players, the Freshmen Musical, CityStep, and the University Choir. Off campus, the work of this year’s Louis Sudler Prize co-winner can be heard from such illustrious groups as the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, and the New York Youth Symphony and can be found being performed all across Germany...
...libidos, but struggled at first to gain momentum.“Ex-Static,” featured the direction of Pamela M. Santoyo ’08, Elisabeth Michaud ’09, Meron K. Haileselassie ’10 and Layla Amjadi ’10. I spend hours every week working to fit as many student group events into the rooms in SOCH as possible: Kuumba rehearsals, HCAP conferences, CityStep events, EMT courses, HIDO movie screenings. I find it absurd and frustrating to read in The Crimson that student groups are not interested in using the space when my records of room reservations prove that student organizations are requesting rooms at the SOCH just as frequently as they are asking...
