...trend is to name teams for malevolent forces, such as the Blast, Sting, Blizzard and Blitz. Three team names celebrate disasters that destroyed much of their native locale: the Golden Bay Earthquakes, Chicago Fire and Atlanta (now Calgary) Flames.
