Reports from several city departments and civil engineers were presented yesterday at the public hearing of the Charles River Dam Commission, but were held over until a later hearing. Statements were made by the city engineers of Cambridge and Newton, showing that the plans of those cities would not be hampered by the proposed dam. It was decided to postpone the next hearing until February 3, because of the illness of one of the engineers, whose presence is then required.
