...expect to get it. Power Rangers is choppy, video-game-paced fare that has the feel of a cheap Japanese monster movie, circa 1956. The premise: five teenagers (three boys and two girls) are transmogrified mid-episode into spandex-clad superheroes who battle the vile forces of Rita Repulsa, an intergalactic witch. Through a mix of kung-fu acrobatics, pummeling and pouncing, the Rangers manage to defeat whatever band of clunky, plastic robot- cretins Rita enjoins to cause trouble...
