...University hockey team showed marked improvement in its practice yesterday over its previous form. This was due for the most part to the return of Captain Willetts and Claflin, the first string defence. Team A and Team, B scrimmaged for about half an hour, the former winning by the score of 3 to 2. This was due largely to the good work of Washburn at goal, who stopped many hard drives from the second team forwards. The forwards worked well together passing and shooting accurately, but the good work of both defences kept the score down. Smart was the highest...
...Arena yesterday afternoon by the score of 1 to 0. The work of both teams was far from perfect, and neither line was able to penetrate the opposing defence to any degree. Special attention was pad to passing, in which the team is lamentably weak. Captain Willetts and Claflin are still suffering from minor injuries and Phillips was given a rest...

Hopkins scored both points for the University, the first after a pass from Clark, and the second from a scrimmage in front of the goal. Willetts and Claflin were not on the ice, Doty and Cunningham composing the outer defense. Hopkins was shifted from left wing to left centre and S. P. Clark covered the wing...
Amherst was also in poor form. The team played a three-man defense all the time, and were it not for their goal the score would have been much larger. Many substitutes were sent in for the University, but they were not better than those who started, Claflin and Hopkins were not in the game at all, Cunning, ham and S. P. Clark taking their places, while Captain Willetts played only during the last few minutes. Seymour was the best of the Amherst forwards; he was frequently able to dash alone down the rink but did not succeed in scoring...
...fast rounding into shape under the able direction of Coach Winsor. The development of the team has, however, been retarded considerably by the injury of several veterans. Hopkins is still suffering from the cut in his leg received in the second Syracuse game, while Captain Willetts and Claflin are incapacitated by minor injuries. S. P. Clark will start the game at left wing, while Doty and Cunningham will compose the outer defense...
