...Butler '98 died at his home in Quincy, Mass., May 31, of appendicitis. He was a son of the Rev. E. C. Butler. He prepared at Stone's Private School at Boston and entered college with the class of '98. With the exception of his Senior year he tried for the Mott Haven team, making it in his Sophomore year. In his Junior year he ran on the winning intercollegiate relay team. He was always interested in track athletics. He was getting over an attack of typhoid fever when taken with appendicitis, and did not have strength to recover...
